Enyimba 3rd PLACE finish is good – Ifeanyi Ekwueme.

Sporting Director of Enyimba FC  of Aba, Ifeanyi Ekwueme has commended the coaching crew and players of Enyimba for their resilient 3rd place finished in the first half of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.

The former Nigeria Super Eagles attacking midfielder also commend the Gbenga Elegbeleye and Davidson Owumi leadership positive input of the  league.

“The new leadership of the league has really improved officiating and insert discipline as well”.

“A better side can win anywhere as it stand. Enyimba lost at home to sporting Lagos. Enyimba won twice away defeating Heartland and Shooting this season, these are good omen for Nigeria soccer”.

“Match Officials, Clubs Officials  as well fans who are found wanting are dealt with immediately.  That is the way to go”.

The former Heartland Sporting Director noted that Enyimba started slowly but because of their brilliant players recruitment they were able to bridged up the gap.

He commended the club Chairman and former super eagles and Africa footballer of the year, Amb. Kanu Nwankwo for giving everyone free hands to do their jobs.

Enyimba travelled to keep a midweek Matchday 19 fixture (today) against Rivers United who occupied 14th position on the table with  21 points after 16 game.

The Peoples Elephant will return home to host Shooting Stars of Ibadan February 4th in Aba to resume the second half of the league.
